On behalf of the Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation, we invite you to partner in our upcoming 2025 Nakota Language Conference, which is being held at the The Venue, River Cree Resort - Enoch - Treaty No. 6, on November 5-7, 2025.
This year’s theme, Watezehebi Yobami—Honouring Our Youth—reflects our deep commitment to empowering Nakota youth as leaders and caretakers of our language, culture, and identity.
Our Nation is facing a critical time. A language assessment conducted in November 2024 revealed that only 9% of our members are fluent in Nakota, with the majority of fluent speakers aged 55 and older. This conference is a vital step toward reversing language loss by focusing on youth as the heart of revitalization efforts.
Throughout this gathering, we will work together to:
We are proud to host a rich, multi-day program that brings together youth, Elders, leaders, and community members in celebration and action.
We are inviting partners, industry stakeholders and various businesses to provide corporate donations to off-set costs associated to hosting this event. Our nation must fundraise over $100,000 to cover the cost.
This year, we are offering the following:
Includes one table at Nakota Chiefs Dinner on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, an opportunity to speak at our event, includes your company name and logo on our conference program and website/social media platforms, your company name or logo on a banner displayed at the conference and a Certificate of Appreciation indicating the amount of your contribution.
Includes 5 free registrations for Alexis youth to the conference, includes your company name and logo on our conference program and website/social media platforms recognizing the amount of your contribution, your company name or logo on a banner displayed at the conference and a Certificate of Appreciation indicating the amount of your contribution.
Includes your company name on our conference program recognizing your contribution, your company name or logo on a banner displayed at the conference and a Certificate of Appreciation indicating the amount of your contribution.
