SPONSOR THE 2023 NAKOTA LANGUAGE CONFERENCE
On behalf of the Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation, we invite Industry & Government to partner in our upcoming “2023 Nakota Language Conference,” which is being held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel West Edmonton on November 8 – 10, 2023.
The Nakota (Stoney) Language Conference will support the unique needs of the Nakota (Stoney) speaking First Nation Communities and Schools in Alberta/Saskatchewan. This conference is an effort put forth by Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation to gather traditional knowledge keepers and train Language Teachers, to renew our goals for language revitalization, to teach our identity and culture, and to review curriculum and best practices for instruction.
This year’s theme is, “Language Revitalization.” We are inviting government, industry and various organizations to partner with us in hosting this event. Our nation must fundraise over $200,000 to cover the cost. This year, we are offering the following partnership packages:
