We Welcome All Our Graduates Home — A Celebration of Their Strength and Dedication
Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation invites all members to gather for a special community ceremony honouring our Grade 12 graduates of 2024–2025. While each student completes their journey through different schools, we bring them home to be recognized and celebrated among family and Nation.
Graduation is more than a milestone—it’s a step toward leadership in governance, medicine, education, commerce, and other areas that shape your future as a Nation. As Chief Tony Alexis shares, “We must become masters of the institutions, and that starts by becoming masters of our intentions.” This moment marks a shift—not just in our students’ lives, but in the direction of our collective future.
Each graduate will receive a decorated eagle feather and a star blanket—symbols of honour, responsibility, and cultural pride. These gifts also recognize the support of families, educators, and mentors who helped guide their way.
The celebration will include a community feast and drumming, with members of Chiefs and Council in attendance. This is our collective moment to honour the work, the sacrifice, and the commitment of our graduates as they prepare to step into their next chapter.
